The Zigzag Campsite 1 is a picturesque tent camping area located in the Angeles National Forest in California. The campsite is surrounded by beautiful pine trees and provides stunning views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Nearby points of interest include the Lower San Gabriel River, the Bridge to Nowhere hiking trail, and the Mount Baldy Ski Lifts.

The campground amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and potable water. The campsite is only available on a first-come-first-served basis and can accommodate up to six people per site.

An interesting fact about the area is that it was used as a filming location for the popular TV show "Twin Peaks" in the 1990s. Visitors can still see remnants of the set while hiking in the surrounding areas.

The best time of year to visit the Zigzag Campsite 1 is during the summer months from June to August when temperatures range from 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and drop to 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit at night. However, visitors should be prepared for occasional thunderstorms during this time.
