Reservations are not accepted—first-come, first-served only. A nightly fee is required. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water (hand pump), picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and limited space for RVs (no hookups). Surrounded by lodgepole pines at nearly 10,000 feet, the campground delivers a peaceful, high-alpine experience. Nearby attractions include Jefferson Lake, the Colorado Trail, and great fishing and hiking. Best visited June–September when snow has melted and roads are open. Expect cool temps and potential afternoon thunderstorms.
