Cromberg is a small community in Plumas County, California. It experiences a warm-summer Mediterranean climate, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. The area is surrounded by the Feather River and its tributaries, which provide hydrology constituents for the region. Outdoor recreation opportunities include hiking, fishing, hunting, and camping in the nearby Plumas National Forest, as well as water-based activities on the Feather River. Cromberg is also home to the James Beckwourth Museum, which preserves the history of the Beckwourth Trail and the life of James Beckwourth, an African American explorer and fur trader.
