With a storage capacity of 185 acre-feet, the pond covers a surface area of 15 acres and has a drainage area of 4 square miles.

The dam's primary purpose is for fish and wildlife conservation, with a spillway width of 126 feet and a maximum discharge of 1687 cubic feet per second. Despite being classified as having a significant hazard potential, the dam is currently assessed to be in fair condition, with inspections conducted every two years to monitor its stability.
