Highum Pond, located in Rushford, Minnesota, was completed in 1965 by the USDA NRCS with a primary purpose of flood risk reduction. This earth dam structure on the TR-Root River serves multiple purposes including debris control, fire protection, and providing a habitat for small fish or livestock.
