Jmh Pond Dam, also known as Jm Horton Pond Dam, is a private dam located in Anderson, South Carolina, along the TR-NEALS CREEK. Built in 1958 by the USDA NRCS, this earth dam stands at 26 feet high and spans 540 feet in length, with a storage capacity of 83 acre-feet. While primarily designated for purposes other than irrigation or flood control, this dam is state-regulated by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and undergoes regular inspections to ensure its safety and compliance with state regulations.

Despite its low hazard potential, Jmh Pond Dam has been assessed as unsatisfactory in condition as of June 2017. The dam features an uncontrolled spillway and outlet gates, and is associated with the Natural Resources Conservation Service for design. Although it has not been modified in recent years, the dam poses a moderate risk level, prompting the need for potential risk management measures to be put in place. With its strategic location and vital role in water resource management, Jmh Pond Dam serves as a significant infrastructure for both the local community and environmental enthusiasts interested in climate resilience and water conservation efforts in the region.
