Whiskeytown Dam (Usbr)

Whiskeytown Dam is a concrete arch dam located in Shasta County, California. It was constructed by the United States Bureau of Reclamation in 1963 for flood control and hydroelectric power generation. The dam impounds the Sacramento River, creating Whiskeytown Lake, which is a popular recreational area for fishing, boating, and swimming.
