Holloway Lake, located in Ravalli, Montana, is a private reservoir primarily used for irrigation purposes. Built in 1900, this concrete gravity dam stands at 20 feet tall and has a storage capacity of 280 acre-feet. The lake covers an area of 25 acres and is fed by the North Fork Sweeney Creek.
Despite its low hazard potential and moderate risk assessment, Holloway Lake is regulated by the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC). The dam, which has not been inspected since June 2003, is classified as "Not Rated" in terms of its condition assessment. The spillway of the dam is uncontrolled and is 10 feet wide.
