Kayak Lake Dam, also known as Lakes Unlimited Dam, is a private dam located in Snohomish, Washington.
Managed by the Washington Department of Ecology, this earth dam serves primarily for recreational purposes and stands at a hydraulic height of 24 feet. Built in 1965, the dam has a structural height of 23 feet and a length of 1170 feet.
With a storage capacity of 190 acre-feet, Kayak Lake Dam offers a surface area of 16 acres for water enthusiasts to enjoy. However, despite its recreational appeal, the dam poses a high hazard potential and is currently in poor condition as of the last assessment in August 2018. The emergency action plan for the dam was last revised in September 2020, highlighting the need for ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure public safety and environmental protection in the area.
