Minnesota residents, particularly those in Carlton and South St. Louis County, should exercise extreme caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 11:00 AM CDT. Visibility is reduced to less than a quarter mile, creating hazardous driving conditions across the Twin Ports area and inland regions. Additionally, a Beach Hazards Statement remains active through 10:00 PM CDT for Minnesota Park Point and Wisconsin Point beaches along Lake Superior, where dangerous swimming conditions, life-threatening waves, and strong rip currents are expected from noon onward. Residents and visitors are urged to avoid water entry and stay clear of piers and breakwalls. Drivers should reduce speed and increase following distances, while beachgoers must remain out of the water until conditions improve.

The water level at the gauge in feet above the reference datum. Used together with discharge to track river state. Flood stage and runnable levels are typically expressed in gauge height (e.g., "flood at 16 ft").
