Dense fog advisories are in effect for Big Stone and Traverse Counties in western Minnesota until 11 AM, and northwest Minnesota until 10 AM, with visibility reduced to one-quarter mile creating hazardous driving conditions. A Heat Advisory is active for the Twin Cities metro area (Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, Dakota, Scott, Carver, and Washington Counties) from 1 PM to 6 PM with heat index values reaching 97 degrees, posing risks for heat-related illness. Additionally, a Beach Hazards Statement is in effect along Lake Superior shorelines near Duluth through 10 PM, warning of dangerous swimming conditions due to high waves and strong rip currents.
