A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect across multiple regions of Minnesota until 10:00 AM CDT on September 17th. The National Weather Service has issued alerts for central, north central, northwest, and west central Minnesota, as well as portions of northeast and southeast North Dakota. Additionally, northeastern Minnesota counties including Crow Wing, Aitkin, Cass, Itasca, and St. Louis are experiencing areas of dense fog with visibility reduced to one-quarter mile or less. Motorists traveling throughout these affected regions should exercise extreme caution, as the hazardous low visibility conditions could significantly impair driving safety. Reduce speeds, increase following distances, and use headlights to improve visibility. The advisory is expected to lift by mid-morning as conditions improve.
