Northern Alabama, including the Huntsville area, faces conditions until Sunday at 7 PM CDT, while central Alabama around Birmingham and southern regions near Mobile experience peak heat through Friday and Saturday evenings. The combination of extreme temperatures and high humidity poses significant risk for heat-related illnesses. Residents are urged to stay indoors during peak afternoon hours, drink plenty of fluids, check on vulnerable individuals, and avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
