Arkansas residents should exercise extreme caution due to active flooding threats across the state. A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 10:15 AM CDT across portions of Ouachita County, including Camden, East Camden, and surrounding areas, where 3-5 inches of rain has already fallen with an additional 1-2 inches possible. Additionally, a Flood Advisory is in place for central Sebastian County in west central Arkansas until 9:30 AM CDT, affecting communities including Greenwood, Hackett, Huntington, and Burnville where 1-2 inches of rainfall have been recorded. Flash flooding is expected in both warned areas, particularly affecting small creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, and low-lying drainage areas. Residents should avoid flooded roadways and underpasses and remain alert for rapidly changing conditions.

About Arkansas streamflow
Where does the Arkansas streamflow data come from?
The U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System. USGS streamgauges report continuously (every 15 minutes) and the data is the canonical real-time record for U.S. rivers. Snoflo pulls the latest readings and joins them to a 7-day NOAA weather forecast for each station.
What is cfs?
Cubic feet per second — the standard unit for streamflow. One cfs is about 7.5 gallons per second. Small creeks run at single-digit cfs; the Mississippi at hundreds of thousands.
What does Gauge Height mean?
The water level at the gauge in feet above the reference datum. Used together with discharge to track river state. Flood stage and runnable levels are typically expressed in gauge height (e.g., "flood at 16 ft").
How fresh is the Arkansas data?
