Hawaii is currently experiencing significant coastal and wind hazards from Hurricane Nolo, which is moving westward away from the islands. High Surf Advisories remain in effect through Monday morning for east-facing shores of Kauai and Oahu, with waves reaching 10-14 feet in the morning, while conditions improve for the Big Island, Maui, and Molokai by this evening. A High Wind Warning is active until 6 PM today for portions of Maui, the Big Island, Molokai, and Lanai, with damaging east winds of 30-45 mph and gusts up to 75 mph expected, particularly in west Maui and Kohala, posing risks of downed trees, power lines, and roof damage. Wind Advisories also cover Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau with gusts to 55 mph. Residents and visitors should avoid swimming near east-facing shores, secure loose outdoor items, and exercise caution while driving, particularly in high-profile vehicles.

The water level at the gauge in feet above the reference datum. Used together with discharge to track river state. Flood stage and runnable levels are typically expressed in gauge height (e.g., "flood at 16 ft").
