A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 1:15 PM CDT on August 5th for Clarke, Decatur, Lucas, and Wayne counties in south-central Iowa, with heavy rainfall already producing flash flooding. Affected communities include Osceola, Corydon, Murray, Seymour, Allerton, Humeston, and Van Wert. Additionally, a Flood Watch remains active through 7:00 PM CDT for southeast Iowa counties including Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Van Buren, and Washington. Residents should expect flooding of small creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, and low-lying locations. Avoid flooded roadways and underpasses. Additional heavy rainfall is possible through this evening, which could trigger isolated flash flooding in already saturated areas.
