Massachusetts is experiencing significant weather impacts from an active nor'easter system through Sunday evening. A Flood Warning affecting eastern Norfolk, southwestern Suffolk, north-central Bristol, and northwestern Plymouth counties remains in effect until 1:00 PM EDT, with 2-3 inches of rain already fallen and additional rainfall of 1.5-3 inches possible. Major cities including Boston, Brockton, Quincy, Weymouth, and Braintree face urban and small stream flooding. Coastal Flood Warnings are in effect for Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket counties with up to one foot of inundation possible and severe beach erosion expected. Additionally, a Flood Watch extends through Monday night with storm totals of 2-4 inches possible, and localized 5-7 inch amounts could trigger increased river and stream flooding. Wind Advisories in western and central Massachusetts warn of gusts up to 45 mph through noon, with High Surf Advisories featuring 6-15 foot breaking waves through Sunday evening.
