A Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect for Dorchester, Wicomico, and Somerset Counties in Maryland's Eastern Shore region until 4:00 PM EDT today. The National Weather Service warns of up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. Residents in vulnerable waterfront communities should expect shallow flooding affecting roads, parking lots, parks, and lawns near the coast. While property damage threats remain low, exercise caution in affected areas and avoid driving through flooded roads. The advisory impacts communities throughout these three counties with the greatest risk in areas closest to the Chesapeake Bay and tributary waterways.
