As we head into the heart of the ski season, fresh snowfall has graced various regions, promising excellent conditions for snow enthusiasts. In Utah, Long Valley Jct has seen a significant snowfall of 10 inches over the past 24 hours, making it a prime spot for those seeking fresh powder. Nearby, skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the slopes at Brian Head Resort, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and diverse terrain. The weather looks sunny, so expect a beautiful day on the mountains with great visibility and pleasant conditions.
Moving north to Alaska, a series of sensors report an impressive accumulation with Long Lake receiving 9 inches, closely followed by Anchor River Divide and Middle Fork Bradley at 7 and 6 inches respectively. Ski areas like Alyeska Resort near Girdwood are positioned for a flurry of activity, as these substantial snowfalls paired with mostly sunny skies provide a blend of adventure and scenic vistas. The forecast indicates that the trend will continue, with Mcneil River Sgs expecting a whopping 33 inches of snow, and others like Middle Fork Bradley and Exit Glacier not far behind with 30 and 27 inches anticipated over the next 48 hours.
Colorado and Wyoming aren't left out of the action either. Laprele Creek in Wyoming has reported a fresh 4 inches, with more sunny skies ahead, offering excellent conditions at nearby resorts such as Snowy Range Ski & Recreation Area. Colorado's Weminuche Creek also adds 3 inches to its base, enhancing the slopes at resorts like Purgatory Resort.
